How to Retrieve Lost Aadhaar Card (UID/EID)


           If you have lost/misplaced your AADHAAR card. If you have the AADHAAR number and/or AADHAAR card acknowledgment slip that was given to you at the time of registration, you can download duplicate AADHAAR card copy online. The duplicate AADHAAR card has same validity as the original one.

          If you DO NOT know your AADHAAR number and DO NOT have the acknowledgement slip that was given to you at the time of registration, follow the instructions below to TRY and get duplicate AADHAAR card.


1. Go to https://resident.uidai.gov.in/find-uid-eid

2. Select appropriate option, "Aadhaar No" OR "Enrolment No"

3. Enter your full name, email address, your registered Mobile Number, Enter the security code as displayed and click on "Get OTP" button

4. One Time Password (OTP) will come to your mobile and/or email address

5. Enter the OTP and Click on "Verify OTP"

6. You will receive AADHAR card number or Enrollment Id in your mobile number by message.

7. Now go to https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/

8. Select "Enrollment Id" OR "Aadhaar" which you got in your mobile number by message.

9. Now Enter your AADHAR card number or Enrollment Id, full name, Pin Code, security text and mobile number
Click on "Get OTP".

10. OTP will be come to your mobile and/or email address.

11. Enter the OTP you just received on your mobile in the "Enter OTP" field and click on "Validate and Download"

12. Now you have downloaded your e-Aadhar card. Enter your Pin Code as the password when you open the PDF document


13. Take a print out.


Note:
Your registered Mobile Number / Email which you had provided at the time of enrollment is mandatory to retrieve your lost UID / EID.

You can also Verify Email/Mobile number to know if it is registered or not.

You have not registered your Mobile number while enrolling for Aadhaar. You are required to visit a Permanent Enrolment Centre to get it registered.

In case you have changed your mobile number or you wish to change the registered Email you are required to get it updated in your Aadhaar as soon as possible.

No documents required to be submitted for Mobile and Email update.
